Marta del Castillo Casanueva, a Sevillian young 17 years old, disappeared on 24 January 2009 This day, she had left home to see some friends.
The next day, a neighbor claimed to have seen the night of her disappearance, hoping someone in the doorway of her home.
In the days after the disappearance, the police decided to take statements from family and friends of Marta, while his family began a campaign to find her.
Soon, calls claiming to have seen the girl in Jerez de la Frontera and Cadiz, while protests were initiated by the social network Tuenti and demonstrations were held were received.
On January 29, five days after the disappearance, the judge in Instruction No. 4 of Seville decreed the secrecy of the proceedings of the case. The family of the deceased received a visit from the parents of Mari Luz Cortés, who disappeared in January 2008 and appeared more dead months tarde.5 The next day, two thousand people marched in Seville to demand the return of young, low the slogan "We are all Marta".
A new demonstration, organized on February 7, attended by some 3,000 people, who demanded further investigation of the case.
On February 13 arrest Miguel Carcano, and on some people more, all allegedly involved in the disappearance of Marta.
